For those just starting out, the sheer amount of information can be overwhelming. Some articles that really helped me get a handle on things were those at Moms Need to Know and Stretching a Buck. One of the best pieces of advice was to start out looking to save just 10% in the first week. When that was accomplished, push for 20%, and continue increasing by 10% until an average savings of 90% was attained.
As a new couponer gains experience, increases their collection of coupons, and banks catalina deals (money back coupons that can be used on one's next purchase) their savings will grow naturally. Finding the right organization system is also key. I tried three before settling on my current system, and it is evolving somewhat to include a computer database which will be posted here upon completion.
New on the blog today is the Printable Coupons section. By no means comprehensive, this has some of the major sites for finding coupons. There may or may not be an update tomorrow depending on how the shopping trip to Homeland goes, but look for new content this weekend!
